DEMENTIA

Dementia diseases such as Alzheimer's, vascular dementia or Lewy body dementia vary greatly in their onset and progression. However, the following applies to everyone: the earlier the diagnosis can be made, the better the deterioration can be counteracted by medication and non-medication measures. Dementia represents a great psychological burden not only for those affected, but often also for their relatives. Medical care therefore requires not only competence, but also sensitivity and empathy.
